Slay the Princess is a twisted visual novel experience. It emulates the feel of titles like Doki Doki Literature Club and Omori, subverting players’ expectations of a simple story.
Players are tasked with an ominous mission: to slay a princess confined in a secluded cabin, or risk the end of the world. However, the princess has her own means to defend herself. She can conjure enchantments, deceive and even turn into something more to prevent her fate.
This challenge had players navigating its mind-bending decisions with reality-warping consequences. Apart from the Princess, the unpredictable narrative captured players’ hearts, balancing its dark comic writing with an unsettling, branching storyline.
It earned a playscore of 9.4 on PC platforms. 16 critics and over 8,000 players enjoyed the game’s barrage of nightmare inducing scenarios. With the Pristine Cut, a lot of players can enjoy more of the Princess’ company.
She’s a real keeper, isn’t she? Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut is available now across all platforms.
